The Work Center

As Open Avenues provides its clients with job skills training, it offers the industrial community of Northwest Arkansas an alternative work force for their off-line production needs. Open Avenues supplements the production needs of many area manufacturers with a dependable workforce to handle tasks that can be accomplished away from their main production line. We offer competitive bids for this type of contracted work, as well as providing other features that can help area businesses be more profitable.

Here are some (but not all) of the types of production that Open Avenues can provide:

* Collating

What is Open Avenues?

Work Center
Job training and experience opens the door of opportunity for our clients. Through our employment education program, individuals gain the skill set needed for employment while earning income for the work they produce. We partner with business and industry to provide meaningful work tasks that address the varied skill levels of the individuals served.

Life Skills Program
We recognize that an integrated approach is necessary for individual success; thus we address the person as a whole. We offer educational opportunities for learning the skills needed to negotiate the demands of daily life. Our instructors teach classes in cooking, money management, citizenship and nutrition, just to name a few.

Individuals participating in the Work Center program will be offered classes in either small groups or one-on-one during their work day. As an alternative, we offer a self-contained class setting to provide a comprehensive learning environment for persons who require a higher level of support.
